Our Program
Pasadena Child Care & Homework Center is an environment where the teachers support the learning and growing of your child. At Pasadena Child Care & Homework Center your child’s creativity and curiosity is developed on a daily basis.

Developmental growth is made as your child moves towards becoming independent. On a day to day basis your child’s social, emotional, and physical capabilities are strengthening. Pasadena Child Care & Homework Center is designed to nurture these skills daily in our small group settings.

Why do we have learning centers?

Saxon Early Learning
Saxon Early Learning provides a curriculum that offers children a reassuring first experience in a school environment. On a daily basis children observe, question, discuss, and participate. The program develops a strong foundation in early learning literacy skills that include phonics and introducing children to the relationships between letters and sounds.

Saxon Early Learning is divided into a three instructional segments: I wonder, I discover, and I explore. Along with these segments (9) nine themes that are put in an order to reflect the children’s developmental stages. Weekly lessons are put together with four specific concepts and literature selections.

I Wonder
Provides children with learning to feel comfortable about being in school and learn new ideas about themselves, friends, and family members.

I Discover
This segment provides children with the preparation into early primary grades. They are introduced to topics such as weather, seasons, their neighborhood, the wider community, and the world of living things.

I Explore
This segment encourages children to examine the physical world around them, to begin to understand how living things are found in variety of habitats, and to appreciate the world of imagination through art, literature, music and movement.

Pre-School
Pasadena Child Care & Homework Center preschool classrooms are designed for learning in dramatic play, math, creative arts, science, music and technology. Our preschoolers are exposed to an environment that promotes play, academic success, and exciting activities that are related to the monthly themes. Children are also given the independence to explore in all learning centers throughout the day.

Kindergarten
Pasadena Child Care & Homework Center offers a balanced kindergarten program to fit the needs of your growing children. The small classroom setting gives the children the attention they deserve and require at this stage of development. Our kindergarten classroom allows children to explore in science, reading, writing, math, phonics, creative arts, music, and technology.

School Age Program Homework Center
Pasadena Child Care & Homework Center offers a School Age Program during the before and after school hours with transportation provided to our area schools. Our program offers a hi-tech program and provides supervised homework. We also offer extended hours on school holidays and early dismissal. The children can also enjoy creative arts, computers, science, music and movement and having fun with their friends or classmates.
