Pasadena Child Care & Homework Center is pleased to announce "CAMP UNIQUE" during the summer beginning in Mid-June and ending in late August. Our summer program promises to be fun, exciting, adventurous, and intellectually stimulating! Lots of fun trips, fun days, learning themes, and picnics are planned.
In general children in the center will participate in these fun activities and clubs: Talent Show, Olympic Day, Carnival Day, Technology Day, Water Day, Snowball Day, Science Mania, Photography Club, Journalism Club, and Cooking Club. Additionally, they will participate in the D.E.A.R Program (Drop Everything and Read).
School Age Program:
"Research shows that children learn best when instruction is continuous. The long summer vacation breaks the rhythm of instruction, leads to forgetting, and requires a significant amount of review of material when students return to school in the fall." For this reason, Camp Unique will ensure that children receive at least one hour of instruction daily in math and spelling which they are most likely to lose over the summer. The technology center provides an added opportunity for fun learning in the form of educational games.
Other activities include: technology day, trip to Washington DC, McDonald's Day, Sharp's Farm, Medieval Times, Pirates Adventure, Orioles game, Howard County Fair, and Sportztime.
Fours Program:
Our four year old children will have an opportunity to participate in the following activities: Pizza Day, Sportztime Wild Willy Woo Woo, Chesapeake Children's Museum, Sharp's Farm, Technology Day, Carnival, Pirates Adventure, Howard County Fair, and McDonalds Day. A special themed curriculum has been planned for the summer.
Threes Program:
Our three year old children will have an opportunity to participate in the following activities: Sportztime, Wild Willy Woo Woo, Pizza Day, Chesapeake Children's Museum, Computer Tots, Explore-A-World, Kindersinger, Carnival, picnic, and McDonalds Day. A special themed curriculum has been planned for the summer.
Twos Program:
Our two year old children will have an opportunity to participate in the following activities: Sportztime, Wild Willy Woo Woo, Pizza Day, Chesapeake Children's Museum, McDonalds Day, Explore-A-World, Kindersinger, Carnival, and Picnic. A special themed curriculum has been planned for the summer.
Each year, summer camp Unique ends with a fabulous PCHC Picnic celebration!
